The most basic respond a person who is interested in traveling through trains is to know what is the train’s various accommodations available for his or her needs.

The Indian Railway Accommodation provides the following train accommodations that give suitability to their passengers. The list goes as follows.

First Class AC (1A) – A kind of train travel can provide a state-of-the-art accommodation particular to those who want the best. Since this is the first-class accommodation, its charge is almost similar to airlines. The ambiance is air-conditioned and carpeted, and routes are only between metropolitan cities. First Class AC has a capacity of 18 passengers, and it definitely has a comfortable sleeping accommodations.

AC-Two Tier (2A) – With air-conditioned couches, sufficient leg room, beautiful curtains, and individual reading lamps, it can accommodate 48 passengers. It also has sleeping berths, where in these are generally set in two tiers.

First Class (FC) – It actually has almost the same with the First Class AC accommodation, but it doesn’t have air condition system.

Executive Class Chair Car (EC) – This is one unique train accommodation since it comprises an air-conditioned seater couch, where four seats are arranged in a row. Basically, this train travel is available during daytime in between cities.

Sleeper Class (SL) -Considering it the most common, it actually has 72 passengers in one travel that can accommodate a maximum number of ten couches, which can then be detachable. Since it is a sleeper class, these attached couches are versatile for sleeping purposes, where there are three berths arranged across the width.

Seater Class (2S) – This is an accommodation that is similar to EC, but it doesn’t have the air-condition system.

General (G) – Considering it as the cheapest train accommodation, seats are often occupied by most passengers; therefore it’s often very crowded. Tickets for General accommodation are only issued two hours before the departure time of the train.

So, which accommodation will you prefer to get on board to?

Have you notice nowadays? Look at your surrounding; did you not realize that most of the travelers preferred to travel by train rather than plain especially those who were in the European countries? Recently, the travelers preferred to travel by train because they found it comfortable, cheap and clean. And the best of all, traveling by train is not boring. Unlike the plane where you can’t see scenic views like of that in a train. It is because most of the train rail ways are set in the hilly areas overlooking to the many sceneries.

Looking for more reasons why travel by train is best? Here are the lists for you.

Compare to airfare, of which the pricing just suddenly arise for no apparent reason. In the airfare it is irony because the one way ticket costs more expensive compare to the round trip ticket. While with the train fares are stable, any days you want to travel whether Sundays, Mondays or the month of October or April. Unless it fall during the peak season like holidays or Christmas.

If you choose to travel by train you can save more money. It is cheaper than plane, especially if you were traveling in a short distance destination.

Traveling by train is less hassle. The inspection is not really tight and there are luggages for your baggage. And since most of the trains are good for their fast speed, you can assure that you were already in the destination at your expected time.

You could bring more baggage when traveling by train for free. Even when it weighs 250 pounds it is still allowed in a train. Therefore, the baggage allowance with the train is bigger than those of the plane.

Traveling by train is more comfortable and relaxed than plane. Because you were in the train you would not feel like shrinking in your seats seeing nothing around but your seatmates and the clouds in the window.

Since Christmas and New Year holiday celebration just ended, you may get into travel again back in your own way of life after mingling with your family in the other region. Admittedly, though those holiday seasons are great memories to remember but it is indeed hard to believe that after all it is tiring to go back from your normal life. Traveling to your own destination would be your next move to do after celebrating the holiday season with your family. And since you want comfort when traveling, your best option to travel is by train.

Traveling by trains is indeed one of the best options you can opt to when you are looking for comfort, sightseeing and convenience. For long distance travel, the train travel option is a great choice. You will never be bored while traveling by train though you have a long destination to travel since; most of the long distance train travel offers bunk beds where you can lie when you were tired of sitting. With the train travel, you can easily get in to your final destination since it is faster and comfortable compared to the other commutation. When you prefer to travel by train you have to book in advance though, reservation is not a problem but you also have to consider that time consuming especially when you were in haste is really important.

Few reminders when traveling by train, it is better to bring your own snacks rather than buying foods inside the train itself. Though most of the long distance train travel destination offers snacks and beverages however, the price is more expensive than the typical prices in the normal shops. Aside from the food, you could also bring your own blanket with you. Though most of the long distance rail travel offers blankets, but if your were thinking of your own cleanliness then bringing your own blanket is recommended. And lastly, never forget to bring cash with you since there is no ATM machine in the trains where you can withdraw.
