Will High Speed AVE Replace Air Travel in Spain?

The speculations that train travel will replace air travel are very much thriving, breathing and alive. I just do not know if there is any truth to it. Though, air and train travel critic agree in one thing and that is- cheap train travel can compete with the cheap fare but not with time. Yet, high speed train travel in the continent of Europe is so convenient, comfortable and fast that it has cut a very big percentage of the travelers in between cities and even in between European countries.

Now, the idea is being entertained that train travel in between Barcelona and Madrid will take over air travel and the 21st century will be considered as train times. That made the airlines show skepticism and pointed out that the train destination not only in Spain but all over Europe is but too few compared to air travel destinations.

Yet, train travel Europe also pointed out that traveling for only a few miles like 300 to 500 miles does not need an air travel and it makes no sense to do so. It is considered impractical to travel on air with such short distance and doing so would mean the hassles of airports standard operating procedures such as checking an hour earlier. One more disadvantage is the higher possibility of flight cancellation when rain and wind became strong. For tourist who would like to scourge a country and see the rugged terrain and even a glimpse of the beaches means a railway options thus referred to as train vacation.

Though, a seasoned traveler would know that a comfortable tour and hopping from one destination to another means carrying a lighter baggage. There are also instances that you got carried away buying all those souvenirs and if they composed of heavy paintings and pots from the middle parts of Spain. Then bringing them back home is much more convenient through train travel.
