The plan is for a high speed train travel from Detroit, Pontiac, and Chicago and to other Midwestern cities.
The to-be high speed rail is planned to be designed to run in a speed of 110 miles/hour and thus shorten the 5 hours train trip from Detroit to Chicago into more than 3 hours. Though the project is still on its initial stages, the governors in Midwestern cities are optimistic in pushing the plan through what they call a ‘regional push’ thus will oil down the approval in the federal. Other stops of the would-be high speed trail include Saint Louis, Minneapolis, Indianapolis and Cleveland.
