Helpful tips for first time train travelers

Trains are known as the most eco-friendly ways of traveling, this one of the reasons why it has been the choice of the many travelers. Compared to the plains, trains do not contribute much pollution into the atmosphere and it is not that boring to travel by train because of the various sceneries you can view along your ways. Perhaps you are now convince to travel by train, if it is your first time following the tips below could help you have a great train travel experience.
- Wear a comfortable outfit—if you have a long distance destination that would take days before you arrive pack some comfortable t-shirts and pants with you. It would be nice if you are comfortable and feels like homey.
- Bring your own foods—though not all of the trains served unhealthy foods but some of them do plus it is extra expensive. If you are in a budget and you want foods that are really nutritious it is recommended that you should bring your own food with you. It is fun eating with other passengers on the train’s lounge however, the expense that you need would be too high.
- Amuse yourself—traveling by train though you would be amaze with the scenery you cross along your ways is somehow boring. Therefore bring something that could amuse you while onboard. Bringing some pocketbooks, magazines, ipod, or a laptop could ease your boredom. Talking to other passengers could also be a great idea.
- Instead of bringing credit cards or ATM bring cash—basically there is no ATM machine in the train and they don’t deal with credit cards, therefore it is advice that you withdraw your money in your ATM in advance.
- Bring your own pillow and blanket with you—not all of the trains are complete with facilities. If you want to make sure that you can sleep comfortably in the train while you were in your way towards your destination bringing your own pillow and blanket is advice.
