September 11th, 2008 Posted in Train Travel Vacation

If you want to get away during the weekends and you don’t have enough budget to get on the plane and be in another city, why not try spending your weekends in train traveling. Train traveling can get you to your destination and be back just on time without spending too much. You can take some of these train routes or train destinations if needed to get to spend the vacation. If you live in London, you can take these train travels and not worry about spending too much, you will just have to enjoy whatever you see along your train travels and so on.

  • To Barcelona and To Figueres. In this train route you can take the Eurostar which leaves at three in the afternoon in London by Friday and have a stopover in Paris and just in time to have a Parisian dinner. By eight thirty the next morning that is Saturday, before you know it, you are already in Barcelona while having a croissant and a coffee in the train café bar. While you are in Barcelona you can go around the Ramblas, the Gaudi museum and so many other landmarks and also try eating at their tapas bars and so on. The train leaves about nine in the evening going to London and will arrive around twelve noon on Monday. If you feel like leaving the train when you are in Figueres, you can do it then and also check out the Salvador Dali museum and get around the place by a bus or taxi. You can save by doing this kind of travel because you dojnt need to pay for airport tax and also getting a room at a hotel and others.

  • To Venice and To Verona. You can take the Eurostar to Paris and once you get to Paris transfer to Stendhal for your overnight going to Venice. You will have a wonderful view of the French rural areas while eating your dinner on the train and you’ll get in Venice by nine thirty in the morning the next day. You can also stay in Verona if you feel like having a stop and go to their piazzas and to the Roman Amphitheatres and so on.

Try checking out other itineraries in your nearest train stations and train railways; maybe you can also try spending your weekends in another city without spending too much and all.
